FoodChek™-E.coli :
FoodChek™-E.coli is setting the new standard for accuracy and speed in food safety testing.. Using patented magnetic nanotechnology and an easy to use magnetic reader, this AOAC-approved method provides the most sensitive and quantitative result in a fraction of the time required by conventional testing. Products can be tested and shipped on the same day, saving storage costs and increasing shelf life for perishable retail products.
- FAST: Provides accurate results in under 7 hours from start to finish (including enrichment time.) FoodChek™-E.coli is 50 times more sensitive than Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests and over 1000 times more sensitive than current Enzyme Linked Immunoassay (ELISA) laboratory tests. With an absolute threshold of detection of only 200 CFU, FoodChek™-E.coli can detect very low concentrations of bacteria greatly reducing the amount of incubation time required before testing a sample. FoodChek™-E.coli is the world's first true "rapid" test.
- PRECISE: FoodChek™-E.coli meets and exceeds industry standards of >99% sensitivity and 98% specificity. FoodChek™-E.coli can reliably detect as little as 1 CFU of bacteria in a meat sample in less than 6 hours of amplification. Utilizing patented magnetic nanotechnology, FoodChek™-E.coli has achieved 100% specificity in studies involving approximately 100 species of bacteria.
