
FoodChek is currently focused on launching its revolutionary rapid, accurate, simple and cost effective test for detecting E.coli 0157:H7 (E.coli) first in beef and then in produce such as lettuce and spinach. FoodChek™-E.coli is the world's first under-6 -hour test for E.coli in beef and is superior to any other method of testing that is currently available. Other equally innovative tests for the rapid detection of Salmonella, Listeria and Campylobacter are currently being developed, creating a product portfolio that addresses the food industry's top four food safety concerns.
FoodChek has an experienced board of directors with valuable connections throughout the meat industry and food safety arenas.
FoodChek is supported in its efforts by several world class partners. These partnerships provide FoodChek with competencies to uniquely address the food safety issue. FoodChek's assay development partner in Europe is Indicia Biotechnology of Oullins (Lyon), France, which specializes in nanotech particle technology and the development of magnetic assays. FoodChek's License Agreement with MagnaBioSciences (MBS) of San Diego, California, provides the Corporation with the exclusive world-wide rights to their patented magnetic nanotechnology for all food safety testing to detect food borne pathogens, wherever they are found in the human food chain. FoodChek's Canadian subsidiary, Maxivet, is a level 2 laboratory that provides research and development and quality control expertise as well as scientific validation of new food safety products.
